National Congress: This is what the democratic experiment in Iraq needs

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's democratic experiment needs to mature more, many of the people of Iraq have spent so much time reaching democratic maturity, the secretary-general of the Iraqi National Congress Party, Aras Habib, said on Saturday.
"The political process, despite all the remarks that can be made, is governed by the principle of the peaceful transfer of power. It is our duty as political forces to maintain this achievement that put Iraq on the path of democracy after decades of totalitarian rule," Habib said in a statement received by Iraq News. .
He added that "the democratic experience in Iraq still needs to mature more, which is normal, many people spent a long time to reach the age of democratic maturity," explaining that "the important not to rush to harvest fruits before we establish a solid base."
