    [ltr]Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and the chairman of General Electric Company on Thursday discussed ways to develop the infrastructure of the energy sector, while the latter affirmed his company's commitment to support the national development process in Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A statement from the Prime Minister's Office received a copy of the Mawazine News that "Abbadi, received at his office, the President of General Electric Power, Russell Stokes, and the accompanying delegation," noting that "the meeting reviewed GE's completed projects which are in the process of completion, And future projects and overcome the obstacles to complete them, in addition to global experiences to rationalize electricity and stop waste and strategies used to provide electricity to citizens continuously.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The two sides discussed ways in which General Electric can contribute to the development of the energy sector infrastructure and to examine opportunities for cooperation towards its future development," the statement said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He congratulated the company's president, Russell Stokes, on "Iraq's victory over gangs calling for terrorism and liberating the entire Iraqi territory," stressing "the company's commitment to support the national development process in Iraq."[/ltr]
