The Parliamentary Integrity Committee confirmed that the House of Representatives has not seen the results of the work of international inspectors in the investigation of corruption files.

A member of the committee, Mohamed Kun, said in a press statement that the series of government investigations into corruption files in coordination with the international inspectors, were confidential and reserved by the figures within the government, and was not informed the House of Representatives or the Integrity Committee.

He added that "the Integrity Commission is a supervisory body that does not have the executive authority to hold the corrupt, but can provide assistance to the anti-corruption team through the provision of corrupt files and information in their possession to the executive bodies," noting that "Prime Minister Haider Abadi has full powers according to the Constitution to hold the corrupt" .

He added that "the parliamentary committee supports the anti-corruption strategy launched by Prime Minister Haider Abadi to combat corruption and prosecute spoilers in all departments and institutions of the state," pointing to the government's request to find mechanisms of cooperation of the Parliamentary Committee with the executive authorities to combat corruption.
