BAGHDAD - The role of the United Nations in the forthcoming dialogue between Baghdad and Arbil will be limited to providing technical advice rather than dialogue.

He said that «an initiative put forward by the President of the Republic for dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil and sent a letter to the parties to the crisis, in addition to the United Nations», indicating that «there are understandings to form a high committee for dialogue under the auspices of the President of the Republic, and we hope that the coming days will result in the maturity of that vision».
He added: «All parties expressed their willingness to prepare for dialogue, but until now there is no specific body to foster dialogue, so the idea became a committee under the auspices of the President»
