    The Department of Economic and Foreign Relations at the Ministry of Commerce discussed Tuesday with the charge d'affaires at the Canadian embassy the development of economic relations and the need for the entry of Canadian companies to the Iraqi market for the supply of grain. 

    The Director General of the Department Adel Masoudi said in a statement that " With charge d'affaires at the Canadian Embassy, ​​Andortner, the development of economic relations and the need for Canadian companies to enter the Iraqi market for the supply of grain.


    He added that the two sides discussed the need for Canadian companies to enter the local market to supply grain to Iraq, with the framework of this cooperation through a memorandum of understanding between the two parties in addition to the possibility of obtaining training courses for owners of the General Grain Trade Company in the field of grain and exchange experiences and benefit from Canadian experiences in this the field".


    For his part, the charge d'affaires at the Canadian embassy, ​​Andortner, said "his country seeks to develop economic and trade relations with Iraq and the signing of memorandums of understanding for the supply of Canadian grain to the Iraqi market," praising "the victories achieved by the Iraqi government on the gangs of terror and liberating all of its territory from the grip of these criminal gangs" .
