Egypt warns Turkey against harming its sovereignty in the eastern Mediterranean

CAIRO - Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid on Wednesday warned against any attempt to undermine Egypt's sovereign rights over its exclusive economic zone in the eastern Mediterranean, saying it was unacceptable.
In response to statements made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Gawishoglu on Monday over the failure of Turkey to recognize the 2013 agreement between Egypt and Cyprus on the demarcation of the maritime border between the two countries, Sky News quoted the news agency as saying.
