    Research and Planning Minister , "Minister of Trade" Agency "Salman Jumaili with the Minister of Industry and Trade Iranian Mohammad Shariatmadari, promotion and development of economic, trade and investment relations and increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two sides. 

    He Jumaili during a press conference held after the meeting today , " Iran is a political and big business partner for Iraq . " . 

    "the Iranian - Iraqi relations distinct noting there is cooperation in many areas between the two sides." 

    He explained that the meeting included numerous discussions with the ministries of multiple Iraqi destinations to accomplish many of the files related to trade and specifications, as well as in the field of energy, electricity, oil and healthAnd all other fields.

    "There is no doubt that Iran has played a major role in supporting the political process in Iraq as well as in partnership in various fields, both energy and electricity and trade and economic partnership," he said. "These relations are part of the status enjoyed by Iraq in its regional and international environment. 

    The minister pointed out that this year Iraq witnessed a great openness to trade relations with all countries of the world, pointing out that Iraq can play a very large role through the network of relations and interests with neighboring countries to calm the region and the spirit of cooperation and stability instead of the spirit of war and tired the region expressed He hoped the visit would be successful in bringing these relations to a better level.

    For his part, Shariat said that "this visit was a prelude to the visit of the First Vice President of the Republic of Iran to Iraq that the two countries have important strategic relations, indicating that the meeting of the First Vice President of the Iranian Republic with the Prime Minister will be important by all standards for all parts of the region.

    Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari expressed his hope to draw a road map between Iran and Iraq during the upcoming visit by Iranian First Vice President Ishaq Jahangiri to Baghdad soon. 
    Shariatmadari said during his meeting with the accompanying delegation, Minister of Construction and Housing, "Ann Nafi Osi" in Baghdad, solving the problem of banking exchange, one of the important factors in the development of economic cooperation between the two countries. 
    "With new lines of credit and procedures, there will be the possibility of resolving the banking exchange between Iraq and Iran," he said. 
    Minister Shariatmadari said that the volume of trade exchange (non-oil) between the two countries is now 6 billion dollars, which is not commensurate with the status of the two countries and the long lines between them. 
    He proposed forming a joint committee to develop bilateral economic relations, particularly in the technical and engineering fields, which was welcomed by the Iraqi Minister of Construction and Housing.
    For her part, Minister Ann Nafie stressed the need for stability of economic cooperation between the two countries and said that it would seek to solve the debt problem in favor of Iranian companies on the Iraqi side in response to a request made by Iranian Minister Shariatmadari in this regard. 
    The Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines arrived in Baghdad on Monday and met with Minister of Planning and Minister of Commerce Salman Jumaili and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Industry and Minerals Mohammad Shi'a al-Sudani.
