Parliamentary Economy: One million jobs await young people
The Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Investment confirmed that youth employment projects will provide one million job opportunities over the next seven years.
"The laws of employment of graduates, certificate holders and youth support approved by the parliament include the release of soft loans in cooperation with the central bank and private banks, as well as small and medium loans and projects supported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs."
"These projects will achieve their objectives within a year of their launch, and will be implemented initially in the provinces of Basra and Nineveh."
"These projects will provide jobs of up to 150 thousand opportunities annually to reach one million jobs for the next seven years, and thus will reduce the unemployment rate over the next ten years," noting that "these projects will be allocated to support young people."
She added that "there is a coordination of the government to activate these projects in cooperation with private banks and a low interest rate," noting that "some of the loans will be through Murabaha and through Islamic banks."
The House of Representatives voted during the last year on the law of the operation of the first graduates, the draft law on the operation of the holders of higher degrees, and the draft law to support young people.
