Iran Announces Launch of First Commodity Marketing Center in Iraq

Iran's commercial advisor to Iraq, Nasser Behzad, announced on Monday that the first marketing center for Iranian goods in Iraq will open its doors in Baghdad to develop export markets.
"The center will be launched due to the designation of this year by the leader of the Islamic Revolution, in general name (support for Iranian products), in line with the strategic policies of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mines," Behzad was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency.
He said that "21 areas were identified as a priority for the Iraqi market for the direct presence of important Iranian products in the field of goods and services."
"These commodities include basic industrial goods, electricity, know-how, oil and gas, construction, animal and poultry feed, technical and engineering services, pharmaceuticals, laboratory supplies, plastic and petrochemical products, medical equipment, hospital equipment, dairy products, juices, machinery, water and sanitation facilities, drinking water, carpets, agro- Heating, paints, tiles, stone and ceramics ".
"The need for evaluation suggests that the continued presence of companies in the Iraqi market, as well as the necessary transactions to know the demand and timely response of customers in the Iraqi market, is essential," Behzad said.
"The definition of the qualitative features of Iranian products and the management of trademarks by companies will be very effective in increasing the rate of shopping for Iranian goods to Iraq," he said.
Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Erj Masjedi, said on Sunday that the volume of bilateral trade between Iran and Iraq reached more than 13 billion and 210 million dollars last year.
He said that "Iran is the second trade partner of Iraq after Turkey , " adding that "$ 6.5 billion of this volume for goods where Iran occupied the non- oil in this area the first place among the rest of Iraq 's trading partners" .anthy 1
