The Council of the European Union (EU) on Thursday unveiled the main files to be presented at the Trump and Putin tables.
"The issues of security and arms control will be the most important topics for the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump," the head of the International Affairs Committee of the Council of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachov, said today.
"There are two important issues: fighting terrorism and cooperating on security matters, as well as arms control," Kosachov told Echo Moskvy radio.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a private television interview on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump would discuss key issues during a meeting in Helsinki.
"The situation in Syria and Ukraine will be one of the most important topics to be discussed by the two presidents during the upcoming meeting," Pompeo told the television channel.
