BAGHDAD / The Housing Fund Department of Dhi Qar branch on Wednesday completed the transactions of the advanced borrowers on the initiative after it was suspended for more than a year due to the lack of liquidity.
The director of the department, Raed al-Moussawi, told "Iraq News", "on Tuesday we began to complete the transactions of borrowers applying for the initiative after it stopped more than a year and comes after the financial grant launched by the Prime Minister of the Housing Fund across Iraq," adding that "the number of transactions Stalled initiative in Dhi Qar almost a thousand treatment. "
"The hours of work in the housing fund were extended to 6 pm to complete the suspended transactions, with more than 1,000 transactions being stopped by the suspended borrowers."
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alak, revealed the issuance of "new instructions" for the initiative of the Housing Fund for lending citizens.
Al-Alak said in a press statement that "the housing fund initiative included six items, including the inclusion of all Iraqi citizens in the loan, granting the loan for the purpose of construction or completion of construction for those who own a residential plot on the face of independence or commonplace, and not less than the area of common land of 100 square meters The building area is not less than 65 square meters. "

"The reason for the issuance of these new instructions regarding the initiative of the Housing Fund, which began in 2016, is the existence of 32 thousand transactions completed by citizens for previous years and were not disbursed to them because of financial conditions and lack of cash in the Fund."
Prime Minister Haider Abadijah on Sunday boosted the housing fund by 800 billion dinars, which is estimated at about 25 thousand new housing loan, which in turn will provide jobs for citizens and meet their basic needs.
