A member of the Fatah Alliance Jassim Mohammed al-Bayati, on Monday, the movements of the United States to grant the current Prime Minister Haider Abadi prime minister for the second term.
Al-Bayati said in a statement to Washington that "Washington is seeking through the representative of Trump Brett McGurk to put pressure on a number of political forces within the Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish houses to give Abbadi the post of prime minister for the second term," pointing out that "Abbadi's position of US sanctions against The Islamic Republic of Iran has contributed to increase the chances of Washington to take over the post of prime minister. "
He added that "Abadi if he managed to collect 100 parliamentary seats to form the largest bloc will need to include some Sunni and Kurdish forces to achieve the formation of the government," noting that "the inclusion of Kurdish parties or Sunni will push Abadi to achieve their conditions and make political concessions to those parties."
He added that "making concessions to the Sunnis or Kurds will open the door to weaken the government and the escalation of the masses," explaining that "this escalation of demonstrations and protests may reach the overthrow of the government after six months of its formation."
