Integrity Commission revealed during the seventh annual scientific conference , which concluded recently for the preparation of 103 files to retrieve Iraqi funds abroad , while confirming the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to achieve tangible progress in the work of regulatory agencies .
The secretary general of the Council of Ministers on the Keywords on the sidelines of the conference (morning) that the indicators and the reports of the United Nations and organizations involved in combating corruption indicate that Iraq is making significant progress and clear in the development and work of watchdogs , including the Integrity Commission and the legislation relating to the fight against corruption and harmony with the Convention on the fight , which joined Iraq to its membership , and this index is very important compared to the age of the formation of these institutions and the nature of the challenges faced by the size of the corruption that exists . , adding that the index is important that adopted by the United Nations in the fight against corruption is the extent of the progress made by states in the legislation of laws that have nothing to fight corruption and change the methods of work and various measures and strengthen the relevant agencies to apply the laws and control and this is going well in the country. Meanwhile , the head of the Integrity Commission judge Alaa Jawad al-Saadi on the sidelines of the conference (morning) that there is a continuous development in the work of the body , especially in the investigative and spread the culture of integrity , prevention and bridge Casks of corruption , as the body count too much on those topics in order to process files are brought before them , stressing that the body has become a high- tracing techniques in the fight against corruption in ways that are consistent with the great development of crooks and thieves of public money .
He said the work of the Commission and regulatory agencies in accordance with the scientific approach to address the issue of corruption is sure to yield positive results significant in the future , the fact that corruption has become a global scourge and Iraq joined the International Convention on the fight against corruption and it has become a significant commitment , including the fee regulatory agencies for scientific plan to tackle corruption , stressing that Commission will soon issue its annual report for 2013 , which includes all work carried out , including investigations and judgments which have become final and gained many of the verdicts and the metaphysical side of Preventive and dissemination of a culture of integrity .
In another matter , said al-Saadi that the issue of recovery of Iraqi funds abroad grew after the formation of the Department of recovery recently according to the Law on the No. 30 for the year 2011 , as it was organized 103 files to retrieve Iraqi funds abroad , stressing that the body has a collaboration with countries where there are funds Iraqi and held a number of memoranda of understanding with them , especially countries where a large part of who seized the public money illegally , noting that the Commission will review the total amounts of the money after deducting those files .
