The victory coalition revealed on Thursday the fact that the current Prime Minister Haider Abadi withdrew his candidacy from the presidential race.
The leader of the coalition Ali al-Sunaid, told Ashqaf News that "the news that there is an intention to Abadi to withdraw his candidacy from the prime minister, is incorrect, he has no such orientation at all."
Al-Sinead said that "Abadi is still the candidate of the coalition of victory for prime minister, the candidate most likely to obtain this position," noting that "there are messages received from political parties confirm their support for Abadi for a second term, without revealing them."
