Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, Tuesday, the port of Faw as a high interest of the country, stressing the defense of the interests of Iraq while maintaining relations with neighboring countries.
"Iraq is convinced of openness to neighboring countries provided that the interests of the country are upheld," Abdul-Mahdi said during his weekly conference held after the cabinet session.
He added that "the port of Faw in Basra is a supreme interest of the country," noting that "the government will defend the interests of Iraq and its relations with neighboring countries."
