{International: The Euphrates News} The British newspaper The Guardian published an article by Matthew Weaver discussing Britain's efforts in Iraq and the obstacles it faces.
Waver says projects initiated by Britain years ago to address post-war Iraq's chaotic situation are facing major constraints due to anti-immigrant government policies in London.
Weaver explains that a government project to train Iraqis in the civil service fields of various British universities has been hit by a recent blow after the British Interior Ministry refused to grant dozens of Iraqi trainees a visa to Britain.
Weaver says a program funded and organized by the British government to address violence and gender segregation in the Kurdish areas of Iraq also faced similar obstacles after the British Interior refused to grant visas to six of its members.
Weaver explains that these members were invited to attend a conference in Bristol last month that was supposed to be the fruit of their two-year research work.
Waver quoted the organizers of the two activities as accusing the British Interior of doubling the size of the British failure in the war in Iraq by undermining efforts to counter its effects.
