    The Iraqi Contractors Association and its Jordanian counterpart have agreed to treat the Jordanian contractor as the Iraqi contractor in Iraq, and to adopt the classification adopted in Jordan as is, so that he can work in Iraq and contribute to the reconstruction projects. 
    The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Tariq Al-Hamouri, Deputy Secretary of the Contractors' Union Fuad Al-Duwairi and Secretary General of the Union of Contractors and Builders Training Center Manager Tarek Al - Harini. 
    "According to the memorandum, it was agreed to build a strategic partnership with regard to the work of the Jordanian contractor in the reconstruction and construction projects of the brotherly State of Iraq," Al-Akhbar newspaper reported.
    He added that "the Jordanian contracting sector is witnessing a qualitative leap and an important achievement after the agreement to export the Jordanian contractor in all its classes to brotherly Iraq to restore relations to its usual warmth and the council of the union is working hard to open new horizons for Jordanian contractors in Syria and Libya as well." 
    "The memorandum stipulates that the Jordanian contractor shall be treated in Iraq according to its classification in the Kingdom of Jordan. The two parties also agreed that the Iraqi Contractors Union shall prevent any Jordanian entity carrying out any contracting work in Iraq unless it carries a valid classification from the Ministry of Works General and Housing and registered in the Jordanian Contractors Association ". 
    On the other hand, Al-Sanafi and Al-Yaqoub signed a memorandum of understanding in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation to train Iraqi technical cadres in the fields of water and sanitation.
    "This agreement will allow the transfer of Jordanian expertise in the field of water and sanitation management in the province of Basra by training the cadres of the Basra Water Department and providing them with the necessary expertise, especially in light of the challenges facing the water sector in southern Iraq to achieve exploitation," said Jordanian Water and Irrigation Minister Raed Abu Saud. Optimization of available resources ". 
    "The Jordanian government's keenness through the ministry / permanent water authority on the importance of strengthening cooperation and benefiting from the Jordanian local expertise with outstanding experience in the field of water and sanitation as well as treated water and reuse," he said, pointing out "the readiness of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation to train as many Iraqi brothers as possible In specialized training centers in the Jordanian water sector, which enjoy a distinguished Arab and regional reputation. "
    The agreement includes the start of the training of (20) Iraqi engineers and technicians in principle to complete several different training programs, and the adoption of the training center contractors for the purpose of training the technical staff of Iraqi contractors.
