A diplomatic source said that "the Arab delegates voted unanimously to appoint Iraq's candidate, Qais al-Azzawi, to the post of Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural Affairs."
Iraq will participate in the work of the Council of the League of Arab States to be held on Wednesday in Tunis, while the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the work of the session (151) of the Council at the level of permanent representatives in the presence of Iraq.
