Mahmoud: We seek to develop the working methods of the constitution to communicate with international experiences

Baghdad / ... The President of the Federal Supreme Court Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud, on Tuesday, the pursuit of the development of working methods of the Constitution, to communicate with international experiences.
"The president of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud, received at his office Tuesday Anthony Fife, head of the Canadian Institute of Governance and his accompanying delegation," the court's spokesman Ayas al-Samuk said in a statement.
Al-Mahmoud said during the meeting that "the constitutional judiciary in Iraq seeks to consolidate the principles and provisions of the Constitution in letter and spirit, especially on the level of human rights and public freedoms and women's rights."
He added that "the Federal Supreme Court is working through its terms of reference to develop the working methods of the Iraqi constitution," stressing the "importance of extending bridges of communication and cooperation with international experiences developed."
For his part, Anthony Fain expressed his "admiration for the experience of the Federal Supreme Court," and expressed his readiness to "strengthen cooperation in the interest of Iraq and Canada." Finished
