    Basra Governorate Council voted Wednesday for social welfare projects worth 10 billion dinars, including the purchase of vehicles for the disabled and the establishment of buildings.
    "The provincial council discussed during today's session a number of projects related to the social welfare sector," Council member Anwar Majdal said.
    She added that "a number of them were voted for 10 billion dinars," noting that "the projects include the establishment of a building for social welfare and the rehabilitation and care of the Institute of the mentally disturbed."
    She explained that "the projects include programs for those covered by social welfare salaries with special needs"
