US Army: We are developing a military base in Saudi Arabia

    Light News / Misc
US military said on Tuesday that he is working "closely" with Saudi Arabia for Prince Sultan Air Base, the center of the development of the Kingdom.
This came in a statement to the command of the Air Force in the US Central Command "Santcom", as quoted by channel "free" America.
"We are working closely with Saudi Arabia to strengthen the capabilities of Prince Sultan Air Base (about 80 km from Riyadh)," the US Central Command said.
"More than 25 US experts are now working to build potential to develop protection and security measures at Prince Sultan Base, as part of the two countries' cooperation to ensure stability and security in the region," she said.
Riyadh did not follow the American statement, but Saudi Arabia on Saturday agreed to receive US troops on its territory, with the aim of promoting joint action to defend the security and stability of the region and ensure peace in the face of escalating tensions with Iran, according to the same source .
The region is under increasing tension by the United States and Gulf states on the one hand, and Iran on the other, by Tehran abandoning some of its obligations in the nuclear program (concluded in 2015) after Washington withdrew from it, as well as Saudi accusation of Iran targeting facilities through the Yemeni Houthi group.
