Parliament holds its first session of the second legislative year of the first legislative term today

The House of Representatives will hold its first session of the second legislative year of the first legislative term on Saturday.
The Chamber [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]of Deputies[/url] said in a statement that " [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]the House of Representatives[/url] on Saturday set a date for the first session of the second legislative year of the first legislative term."
To that confirmed the construction of the political blocs intent to vote on the proposed law to abolish the offices of general inspectors during the coming sessions.
The [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]House of Representatives had[/url] instructed the Parliamentary Legal Committee to prepare a final wording to amend some paragraphs of its rules of procedure, which it is hoped will be voted upon at the beginning of the new legislative term.
A member of the parliamentary legal committee Hussein al-Oqabi, in a press statement, that “ [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]the House of Representatives[/url]With regard to the amendment of the rules of procedure, especially some paragraphs relating to the swearing-in of new deputies, pointing to the existence of a legal gap in the rules of procedure and [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]the[/url] law [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/137/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8]of the House of Representatives[/url] justify the failure to take the oath until now by some of the winning deputies.
He added, "Parliament intends to address this gap through the amendment of the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives, and this amendment is currently underway to be voted on at the beginning of the new legislative term," indicating that "one of the proposals is to set a ceiling one month after the announcement of the formation of the new government, to take the oath Constitutional winners 'deputies' ..
