, former Speaker of Parliament, Salim al-Jubouri, stressed on Monday the need to accelerate the release of those covered by the General Amnesty Law.
A statement of the media office of al-Jabouri received / Mawazine News /, a copy of it, that "the latter met with Minister of Justice Farouk Shwani, to discuss preserving the Iraqi citizen's rights file."
He added, "The meeting also discussed preserving the rights guaranteed by the constitution for the Iraqi citizen to live a decent and safe life and the right to demonstrate and express opinion, as well as work to provide all international standards of human rights in prisons."
