A local official said Tuesday that an artillery bombardment of the Kurdish forces "intensively" sites where militants holed up "Daash" in the town of Saadia they control.
The head of the municipal council of Khanaqin Samir Mohammed Noor for "Twilight News" that "the Kurdish Peshmerga forces began shelling intensely against the positions of militants in Daash Saadia."
He said that various weapons were used in the bombing, especially heavy artillery.
He gave no further details.
