, informed political sources said, on Wednesday, that the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi has completed his ministerial formation and a program of government reforms and is awaiting a parliament session to vote on the choice of ministers.
The sources said, "Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, is awaiting an appointment for a parliamentary session to give confidence to the formation of the transitional government ministers."
She explained, "The cabinet formation and the government reforms program are complete, and that Allawi has informed the Presidency of the Council of Representatives of this, and asked to set the date for a meeting and call on the members of the House of Representatives, to vote on the names of those in the name of the government."
The sources pointed out that "the Presidency of the Council of Representatives informed Allawi of the meeting as soon as possible, and that it is consulting with the heads of the parliamentary blocs and members to ensure that a vote is passed."
And she stated, "An official statement will be issued to call for an emergency session of Parliament being a constitutional legislative holiday." Ended 29 / A 43
