The Electoral Commission revealed, on Saturday, that it had updated the register of more than 15 million voters across the country, indicating that it had distributed about 13 million cards after adding one million voters this year.
The director of the media department at the commission, Muhammad Yunus, said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / that "voter registration processes are continuing and have achieved more than 15 million voters so far."
Yunus added, "The commission distributed about 13 million biometric cards, and it is continuing after registering one million voters this year."
He explained that "the newborns of the voters, namely 2003, 2002 and 2001, numbered more than 279 thousand voters, in addition to registering the displaced voters and distributing the cards to them." End / 25d
