On Friday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced that it had made an amendment to Article 27 first in the 2021 budget, regarding leave for employees.

A member of the committee, Majida Al-Tamimi, told quasi-governmental media today (March 12, 2021), that "the committee has made an amendment to Article 27 first regarding employee leave that includes submitting a proposal that an employee who has 5 actual years is entitled to take five years leave with a nominal salary one time." .
She added, "The proposal included calculating the leave for retirement purposes, provided that retirement pensions and all deductions be paid during his enjoyment of the leave," indicating that "the proposal includes the employee's eligibility to work in the private sector."
On the other hand, Al-Tamimi pointed out that "the deficit in the current year’s budget amounts to 28.6 trillion, which requires more than $ 19 billion to reach the break-even point between revenues and expenditures." Expenditures require an oil price of $ 64  .
She indicated, "Iraq has internal and external obligations and debts, and that the increase in the price of oil for what is decided in the budget will cover the deficit in the budget."
