Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed, on Sunday, that Iraq has succeeded in imposing legal and time-based mechanisms for the withdrawal of the coalition through constructive dialogue.
Al-Kazemi said, during an iftar banquet attended by a number of leaders and officers of the security and military services, that "in the welcome of this holy month, we remember the martyrs of Iraq and the wounded heroes who, had it not been for their sacrifices, we would not have gathered here. They will continue the march of preserving the security of Iraq with blood and soul. "
And he added, "I remember with great pride the commandments of Ayatollah Sistani, which he urged to support the army and security forces, because they are the pillar of protecting the homeland, and the key to its natural role in the region and the world."
He continued, "We are facing historical challenges. Iraq is recovering thanks to its children and youth, and it is on all of us that it is the duty to protect Iraq and prevent the return of the wheel backwards. This is a national mission that every honorable Iraqi carries, and it is your mission mainly."
He pointed out that "Iraq regains its health does not mean that the challenges have ended, and for this we must all be more careful, and activate our national responsibility to face all circumstances and threats, whatever their sources and sizes."
"Our security and armed forces are the backbone of the state, the symbol of Iraq and its national identity, and they have a historic responsibility to restore the state's prestige and rein in everyone who tries to break this prestige," he added.
He continued: "We succeeded, through real and responsible constructive dialogue, in imposing legal and time-based mechanisms for the withdrawal of the international coalition forces, after the Iraqi forces became more ready to assume security tasks in the face of ISIS remnants and remnants, and there are still challenges and needs that will gradually become available to be fully prepared to take on all the tasks."
