ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - President Masoud Barzani and the Japanese consul in Erbil discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and the region.
This came today, Thursday, during President Barzani's meeting with Mikhiro and the accompanying delegation in Erbil.
During the meeting, the Japanese Consul expressed his country's desire to strengthen and develop relations between the Kurdistan Region and Japan in various fields.
For his part, President Barzani congratulated the Japanese consul on his assumption of his duties as consul in Erbil, expressing at the same time the desire of the Kurdistan Region to develop relations with Japan.
The two sides discussed the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and the challenges facing the political process in Iraq.
