A statement of his office, the Euphrates News Agency received a copy of, stated that Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim "received in his office the head of the Sabean-Mandaean community in Iraq, Sheikh Sattar Al-Hilu, and we exchanged congratulations on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr and the Golden Christening Day {Duhok Ed Adima} During the meeting, they addressed the importance of components in Iraq." .
Mr. Ammar al-Hakim stressed, "preserving this diversity, which represents an element of enrichment, and moving it to the stage of managing diversity and investing the Iraqi mosaic in achieving the Iraqi interest."
He also stressed "the necessity of representing the Sabian component in government institutions and the House of Representatives," calling for "the voluntary return of Sabean people to Iraq and contributing to its reconstruction and prosperity."
