Today, Tuesday, the Iraqi-Saudi Coordinating Council Committee met at the Arar border crossing to discuss several files.
A statement by the Ministry of Transport received by the "National News Center" said, "The Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council Committee met at the Arar border crossing to discuss the outstanding issues, including the trade exchange yard at the port."
The statement added, "It was agreed to divert the route of the border road and allow the wheels of the border guards and the rest of the roadway to pass through the border crossing gate until a road outside the square is completed for a period of 14 days, provided that the trade exchange yard starts its work after the specified period."
The meeting discussed, according to the statement, "several files, including financial allocations for completed projects and projects in the pipeline, in addition to an instruction to Anbar Governorate to establish a residential hotel complex for workers with health groups and the province to equip the outlets with 6 electrical generators to contribute to supporting the border crossings."
