The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received on Thursday (June 03, 2021) the Jordanian ambassador to Iraq, Montaser al-Zoubi, and discussed with him a set of joint files between the two countries.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by IQ News, that "the meeting discussed bilateral relations, the importance of activating and implementing memoranda of understanding and commercial, industrial and investment agreements concluded between the two countries, as well as the continuation of coordination and strategic cooperation in the interest of the two brotherly peoples."
According to the statement, the meeting touched on "the tripartite Iraqi-Jordanian-Egyptian cooperation, and the expected tripartite summit in Baghdad."
