    The Iraqi doctor residing in the United States of America, Shakir Jawad, called for a campaign to encourage receiving "Corona" virus vaccines in Iraq, warning that the country would turn into a "hotbed for new strains."

    Jawad said in a clarification followed by “NAS” (June 13, 2021), “As of yesterday, June 12, 2021, the World Health Organization approved six vaccines under the Emergency Use Authorization EUA clause. Global Health, and this facility aims to provide 20% of the world’s population with vaccines, either for free or at reduced prices, or to secure their purchase at a price to countries that do not have sufficient administrative capabilities to manage the procurement process.  
    He added, "Iraq is one of the countries benefiting from this facility," noting that "access to safe community immunity requires vaccinating approximately 80% of the population of every country in the world, and this means vaccinating 32 million Iraqis, meaning that Iraq needs 64 million doses."     He continued, "The rate of vaccination of Iraqis now is only 1.72%, or less than 2%," explaining that "the delay in vaccination, either because of the lack of vaccines or because of the phenomenon of resistance to vaccination will lead to the failure of the entire vaccination program because the unvaccinated will become a breeding ground and a fertile ground for viruses to multiply." Which will inevitably lead to the emergence of new viral strains, some of which will be resistant to vaccines."  
    He pointed out that "if this matter happens, it will lead us to go back to the zero point and re-vaccinate everyone, even those who were previously vaccinated again, with a new vaccine capable of stopping the new strains that will appear, and if the resistance against vaccination continues, we will end up in a vicious circle from which there is no exit, and the spread rates will increase." disease, mortality, and long-term complications.  
    He pointed out that "this effect will not be reflected on the country alone, but will have a global impact, as the country will become a focus for the breeding of new strains that affect all countries of the world."

    He concluded by saying, "Advise your relatives and relatives to get vaccinated quickly, and look at the attached list of vaccines that have been approved by the World Health Organization and order one of them when vaccinating. All the vaccines on this list are safe and have been tested with high accuracy and within strict research traditions, and there is no difference between any of them in terms of efficiency." ".
