    Qazzaz said in a press statement, "The Kurdistan Region is scheduled to export part of the electricity it produces to the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and the disputed areas," explaining: "This work is being carried out by investors in the electricity sector in the Kurdistan Region, provided that it does not affect the amount of electricity that is being provide it to the citizens. 
    And about the amount of electric power that will be exported and its prices, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity in the Kurdistan Region indicated that this is a matter of the investors themselves.
    In this context, he indicated that it is scheduled to collect a transit tax on electricity exported from Turkey through the Kurdistan Region, and this is in the interest of the region. 
    The Minister of Electricity of the Kurdistan Region, Kamal Muhammad, was with the Director General of North Electricity in the Federal Ministry of Electricity, Zeidan Khalaf and his accompanying delegation. 
     
    According to a statement issued by the ministry, it was decided to form a technical and administrative committee for electricity in each of the disputed areas covered by Article 140.

    Regarding the installation of smart meters, he explained: "So far, about 700 thousand meters have been installed out of a total of one million and 480 thousand, or 48%," noting that the number of electricity subscribers has increased to about one million and 700 thousand during the past two years, and this number is added to the number previously announced. .
    According to the expectations of the Ministry of Electricity, this year, smart meters will be installed for all subscribers in the Kurdistan region, or 90% of this work will be completed at least.
