[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The National Security Adviser, in cooperation with the Iraqi Women Empowerment Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Independent High Electoral Commission, organized a workshop for women candidates who will run in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
A statement by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated, "The workshop aims to educate women candidates, provide them with security and psychological support, and effectively communicate with them during the period leading up to the elections scheduled to be held on the tenth of next October," noting that "the workshop will provide training programs for candidates for the upcoming Parliament elections." And it falls within the activities entrusted to it by the National Security Adviser within the national executive plan to support and empower women politically.
The statement added, "The work of the workshop falls within the plan to support women's participation, which was launched yesterday, Thursday, under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, and the presence of the relevant sectoral authorities, local and international organizations concerned, and the tasks of the Supreme Committee formed under Diwani Order No. (32 of 2021). Which is supervised by the Iraqi Women Empowerment Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers[/rtl]
