{Political: Al Furat News} French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron described today, Saturday, the holding of the Partnership and Cooperation Conference in Baghdad as a victory for Iraq.
Macron said during his speech at the conference, which was followed by {Euphrates News}, that "the holding of the Partnership and Cooperation Conference in Baghdad is a victory for Iraq, and our participation in the conference is the clearest evidence of our standing by Iraq."
He explained: Our collective work is to provide answers to neighboring countries that face the terrorist threat, and France will remain by Iraq's side in the fight against terrorism as long as it wants to, and we will support the Iraqi people in the field of reconstruction.
The French president added, "Today's conference shows that the will of cooperation and partnerships is the most important thing to achieve peace, and it must identify the basic projects to start work on."
And he indicated, "Iraq returns today to seize its destiny," adding that "the holding of the meeting is essential and has become a fait accompli."
Macron concluded his speech by saying: "We are here today to reinforce the sovereignty of Iraq, neither interference nor negligence, but clear support for the Iraqi people."
