{Political: Al-Furat News} The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, confirmed today, Saturday, that ISIS gangs still pose a threat to Kurdistan, vowing retribution for the perpetrators of the Karmian and Makhmour attacks.
In a speech during a conference to unify the discourse of the Kurdish community in Erbil, Barzani said that "the war is not a solution to the Kurdish issue or any other issue," expressing his mother's "success of the Kurdish Diaspora Conference in Erbil."
He added, "The Kurdish diaspora can play a major role in serving your people," noting that "the Kurdish diaspora can form a strong lobby for the cause of our people."
And he stated that "the Kurds have never attacked the lands of other nations, but they defended their own."
He stressed that "ISIS is still a great danger to the Kurdistan region," and about the Karmian and Makhmour attacks, Barzani said: "The blood of our martyrs will not be in vain."
