    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Electricity set the date for implementing alternative energy projects in 5 governorates, while indicating that the payment of gas import debts will be in installments within three years.
    Ministry spokesman Ahmed Moussa said, "After signing the agreements for the alternative energy project with the largest international companies, it is necessary to complete the administrative, legal and financing procedures, and then a partnership contract, an implementation contract, and then an energy purchase contract," noting that "these administrative, legal and financing matters in The implementation phase, and then the start of work will begin.”
    He added, "The governorates on which the alternative energy project will be established have been determined, and the amount of energy that will be completed has been determined," noting that "these agreements preceded government agreements, and work will be started as soon as these procedures are completed."
    Regarding the payment of gas import debts, Moussa explained, “The Council of Ministers dealt with these details through the decision of the Council of Ministers, as the Prime Minister instructed the concerned authorities to recover the dues of the Iranian side in equal installments within three years,” noting that “there are one billion and 692 million dollars.” About the value of the outstanding debts payable to the Iranian side.
    And he added, "A government delegation from the Ministry of Electricity visited the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss returning gas releases in a manner appropriate to the electricity need, and then paying these dues," explaining that "the delegation is charged with conveying the Cabinet's decision to pay the debts due, as well as scheduling the payment of dues."
