Dhi Qar takes measures to control food prices and prevents smuggling out of the governorate

The local government in Dhi Qar has taken a decision to prevent the smuggling and exit of basic foodstuffs such as flour, oil and rice from the governorate to other governorates.
The Assistant Governor of Dhi Qar for Administrative Affairs, Faisal Al-Sharifi, said in a statement that Nasiriyah News Network received a copy of it, that the local government in Dhi Qar instructed the police command and external controls to tighten and not allow the removal of basic foodstuffs from flour, oil, sugar and rice outside the governorate borders.
He added that this measure comes to prevent the rise in food prices in the governorate and to protect the poor and middle-income classes from the rise in food prices and based on the decisions of the crisis cell.
