    Today, Friday, the Ministry of Commerce announced that the quantities of marketed wheat exceeded 227,000 tons.
    The Director General of the General Company for Grain Trade, Muhammad Hanoun Karim, said, in a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, that "the staff working in the marketing centers work in several axes, starting with shipping imported wheat from the port of Umm Qasr, transporting local rice, equipping the food basket with rice and equipping the mills, to In addition to the continuation of the marketing campaign in ten governorates after the company’s branch in Anbar joined today, during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and the dust storm that swept the country yesterday.”
    He added, "The owners working in Anbar received, on Thursday, the first quantities of wheat from the farmers, and the total that was marketed on the first marketing day reached 1,451 thousand tons," noting that "the total quantities of wheat marketed to Silot and the company's marketing centers until Thursday amounted to ( 227.520) thousand tons, and that Wasit governorate is ahead of the marketed governorates, with a quantity of (72,515) thousand tons.
    He pointed out that “the marketed quantities in the governorates were distributed in Muthanna (30,622) thousand tons, Basra (15,836) thousand tons, Dhi Qar (28,280) thousand tons, Maysan (25,404) thousand tons, Diwaniyah (26,518) thousand tons, Karbala (7.616) thousand tons, and Babel. (15,248) thousand tons, Najaf (4,025) thousand tons, and finally Anbar, whose farmers market on the first day (1,451) thousand tons.
