Today, Thursday, the Social Protection Authority announced new procedures regarding the salaries of beneficiaries, while confirming its intention to reduce the percentage of the commission on the salaries of beneficiaries.
The head of the commission, Huda Sajjad, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Social Protection Authority is concerned with two main issues under Law No. 11 of 2014, including providing monthly subsidy salaries to beneficiaries," noting that "the subsidy salary reaches the beneficiary at the beginning of each month, which reduces the burden on him." However, an amount of 1,000 dinars will be deducted from him as a commission for those who receive these salaries through the Key Card.
She added, "A lengthy meeting was held with the Central Bank, as well as with the International Smart Card Company, and we were surprised that the contract is long-term," explaining that "a contract extension will be made to the Social Protection Authority to reduce commission damage."
She stressed, "The company sends 12 salaries a year to beneficiaries, 5 of which deduct the commission and 7 salaries without commission in order not to burden social protection," noting that "the Social Protection Authority is determined to distribute the subsidy salaries at the lowest costs of deduction for beneficiaries and social protection, and it will provide the sums possible. benefit from it in other sectors.
And she added, "One of the tasks of social protection is to provide social services, the most important of which is the health, education and housing sector," stressing "the need to work to provide these services to beneficiaries in a very realistic manner."
