    [size=45]Today, Tuesday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the thwarting of a "major" operation to smuggle oil derivatives in Maysan, southern Iraq, noting that 16 fuel-loaded vehicles were seized.[/size]
    [size=45]In a statement, she said, "The Maysan Investigation Office team carried out investigations and follow-up work and collected information about allegations of fuel smuggling, and moved to the Directorate of Oil Products Distribution - Maysan Branch and Al-Amarah Oil Products Depot, in addition to the control of Baghdad - Amara and Ali al-Gharbi control; In order to control the wheels that smuggle petroleum derivatives.”[/size]
    [size=45]She added, "The Maysan Investigation Court, which specializes in integrity issues, decided to seize a dvr device that contains filming of cars leaving the aforementioned controls," noting that "the team managed, with exceptional efforts, and at late times of the night, to set up ambushes in the control of Al-Batira and Baghdad, which resulted in the seizure of (16). A wheel loaded with oil derivatives was prepared for smuggling with its drivers.”[/size]
    [size=45]She explained that "the process of seizing the 16 wheels loaded with fuel had a remarkable role in alleviating the fuel crisis in the governorate," pointing out that "a fundamental seizure report was organized, and presented, along with the defendants, to the Maysan Investigation Court judge specialized in integrity issues, who decided to arrest them in accordance with the provisions of the provisions of the law. Article (3) first of the Anti-Smuggling of Oil and its Derivatives Law No. (14 of 2008).”[/size]
