[size=45]The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said, "The statement issued by the Security Council stated support for the Iraqi government's efforts to enhance security, sovereignty and protection of citizens."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Sahaf added, "The statement came as a result of the attacks that affected Iraqi sovereignty, and indicated support for the investigation procedures that will be worked on internationally regarding the attack." He stressed, "The position of the Security Council is a radical and qualitative step in the context of supporting Iraq to protect its security and sovereignty," noting that "Iraq has important documents and indicators related to the recent aggression that left a number of martyrs and wounded."[/size]

And he noted, "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi met with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jenin Plaschaert, and they discussed the contents of this statement in detail, and government measures were emphasized in settling stability and the security of citizens."[/size]
