The Ministry of Finance has clarified the fact that its resigned Minister Ali Allawi was subjected to threats and left Iraq.
And the ministry stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that it "denies what was reported by some media and social networking sites of false information, which claim that the resigned Finance Minister Ali Abdul Amir Allawi left the country, and that he made statements after being subjected to threats from one of the political blocs."
And she added, "In this regard, the ministry categorically denies the authenticity of these alleged news, and everything that was mentioned in this regard, and the ministry confirms that Allawi did not leave Iraq while he is in Baghdad, and did not make any press statements to any media or personal parties and others."
The ministry called on all the media not to believe and to be drawn behind these lies and gossip, which can be invested in achieving well-known political goals, and it comes as a miserable attempt to influence public opinion and create a state of confusion and chaos.
