Al-Amiri said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "The initiative of Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr to put an end to armed violence is a courageous initiative that deserves appreciation and praise.
He called on everyone to "follow the example of Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr with similar steps to stop bloodshed and cut off sedition, and we call for the cooperation of all national forces in order to remedy the effects of the crisis and move forward to get out of the political blockage that our honorable and patient people are paying for."
