Political researchers ruled out the commitment of the coordinating framework forces to the call of the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri to stop the media escalation, stressing the existence of a wing that supports convulsive discourse and tends to violent solutions.
Al-Amiri said in a statement received by Al-Mada, "We are on the cusp of the visit of the Holy Forty, where we remember the agony of the martyrdom of Abu Al-Ahrar, his family and his companions, and we renew the immortal funeral, in these days filled with feelings of loyalty and love for the people of the Prophet's house (peace be upon them)."
He appealed to leaders and political forces by saying, "I swear to all the brothers in the affliction of Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) to declare political and media silence."
Al-Amiri called for “the adoption of a moderate discourse that brings together, does not disperse, document and does not differentiate, and to desist from statements that incite hatred, hatred and grudges, and to speak in the days of Hussein only about Hussein’s message in the face of injustice and aggression and the refusal to submit to the oppressors.”
He continued, "Let all efforts be combined to prepare the requirements for the success of this holy visit, to calm souls, and to restore trust and affection between the sons of the one nation, the people of the same sect, and the sons of the two dear martyrs."
Political researcher Muhammad Nanaa said, in an interview with (Al-Mada), that "what Al-Amiri put forward is very important, positive and appropriate, and could constitute a catalyst in the path of forming a government or even deviation to other paths."
Naa'a continued, "My follow-up to the political scene shows that this call will not receive a response from all parties to the coordination framework or be bound by it, for two reasons."
He pointed out that "the first reason is that these parties believe that silence is not in their interest, because the other party is exploiting it for their own benefit and accusing them of being the cause of the chaos that prevails at present."
And Nanaa stated, "The other reason lies in the fact that there are parties within the coordination framework that are betting on the accountability of populist polarization through the statements they make that are convulsive and do not take into account the current crisis in Iraq."
In addition, political researcher Manaf al-Moussawi stated that the coordination framework is divided into two groups, the first representing the line of moderation and includes Hadi al-Amiri, Haider al-Abadi and some other personalities who call for calm and a solution to the problem by peaceful means without resorting to violence.
Al-Moussawi added, "The other team relies on the use of excessive force, and this is what we noticed with the demonstrators when an unknown force beat them, and this led to the fall of many martyrs and wounded."
He wondered, "Can Al-Amiri influence the coordination framework and prevent non-positive statements that lead to street congestion and confrontation?"
Al-Moussawi went on to say, “If Al-Amiri influences the framework, his decisions, and his statements, then his call is good, but if it is just for the invitation, there is no benefit from it.”
On a related level, political expert Iyad al-Anbar finds, in an interview with (Al-Mada), that "Al-Amiri's call may include an aspect of objectivity in light of the polemics, escalation, political statements and a show of power."
Al-Amber added, "What Al-Amiri requested should not be limited to media silence, but to start serious political work and work to end the political crisis."
He pointed out that "media silence can ease tension and congestion in the street and an opportunity to recalculate," stressing "the importance of the timing of this call."
Al-Amber stated, "The most important thing is to know the next step, and we believe that this will be through joint action and agreement on practical steps to end the crisis."
He believed that "calmness is required, especially from leaders who are trying to review their resonant and escalatory discourses in the current period."
He pointed out that "the coordination framework will have a moral responsibility, and it is not important to comply with Al-Amiri's call or not. The important thing is that we focus on the issue of moving away from escalating positions."
Al-Amber concluded that “the most benefiting from this invitation is the coordination framework, especially since some of their speeches are more contradictory than they express the unity of their position, and perhaps this will contribute to the contradictions.”
