Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee expected that the Food Security Law will be repeated in 2023 in the event that next year's budget is not approved.
Committee member Mustafa Sanad said in a Facebook post, “If the budget law for the year 2023 is not legislated, then what is required to be spent for the year 2023 according to the Financial Management Law is 103 trillion dinars, the total of what was spent in 2021.”
He added that "there are 25 trillion dinars allocated within the expenditures of the Food Security Law," noting that "in the event that the budget is not approved, the Food Security Law will be automatically repeated."
