Parliament has not yet announced an official date for the session (Anatolia)

Today, Wednesday, the designated Iraqi Prime Minister, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , announced that he is conducting a final audit of the members of his cabinet, reiterating his intention to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , which Parliament has not officially confirmed so far.
A statement from Al-Sudani's office indicated that the latter is conducting the final audit process for the names nominated to take over ministerial positions in the new government, in preparation for presenting them to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on Thursday. But Parliament has not yet announced an official session until one o'clock this evening, Wednesday, Baghdad time, amid expectations that the date of the session will be announced later in the evening.

Al-Sudani confirmed that "the audit process is carried out by examining the names by specialized committees from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Interior, and the Integrity, Accountability and Justice Commissions. The committees will verify the academic certificates submitted by the candidates, and also check whether there is a registration criminal offense against one of them, and to ensure the integrity of their position in the integrity, accountability and justice bodies, and any candidate indicated in the records of the aforementioned control and security departments will be excluded.
The Sudanese government to be formed is considered the ninth government of Iraq since the American invasion of the country in 2003, where eight governments have succeeded, three of them under the American occupation, and they are the governments of Iyad Allawi, then Ibrahim al-Jaafari, then the first government of Nuri al-Maliki, followed by a second government headed by him, then Haider al-Abadi. , Adel Abdul-Mahdi, and finally Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
Al-Araby Al-Jadeed learned that a meeting will be held this afternoon between Al-Sudani and a number of leaders of the political blocs, with the aim of resolving recent disputes over a number of remaining ministerial portfolios, which led to the postponement of naming ministers for them.
A deputy in Parliament, who asked not to be named, said in a telephone conversation with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that "the new government will be wider in terms of the number of ministers than Al-Kazemi's government, and it is likely that current ministers will retain their positions, most notably Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein."
In the context, the leader in the " [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] " Fadel Al-Zarjawi confirmed to "Al-Araby Al-Jadeed" that until now there are still differences between the political blocs and Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani over some ministerial portfolios, while there has been agreement on some portfolios, and work is continuing to resolve The rest of the disagreements.

For his part, Ghiath Al-Srouji, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, explained in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that "the new government will see the light soon, and that the current differences will not hinder its granting of confidence," referring to the possibility of passing more than half of the cabinet and the number of seats. The remaining ministerial portfolios are postponed until the disputes are resolved.
The Iraqi constitution, in force in the country since 2005, allows the prime minister-designate to submit his cabinet with an incomplete one, provided that the shortage does not exceed half the number of his government’s ministries, provided that the remaining part is completed, and through another supplementary voting session on the rest of the ministries at his request to Parliament.
On the other hand, political analyst Ahmed Al-Sharifi told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, “Disputes over ministerial portfolios are expected by the political class, especially as it realizes that its political and even popular influence is through its influence in the government and control over state institutions, and for this we find a dispute. The struggle of the ministries is the strongest of all political differences.
Al-Sharifi warned that Al-Sudani’s acceptance of the pressures of the blocs and parties by imposing candidates on them with suspicions or observations, will make him confront the street very soon, and therefore he should beware of the pressure and anger of the street, which could explode at any moment in the face of his government if it was not different from previous governments. Which has been the cause of corruption and failure over the past years,” he said.
Successive Iraqi governments after 2003 adopted the principle of sectarian and partisan quotas in the distribution of government positions, amid criticism of the arrival of incompetent party figures to manage positions, and the spread of corruption in state institutions.
Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani is making accelerated efforts to form his government as soon as possible, and he must present the formation within 30 days from the date of his assignment, which means that the date of the last session to vote on the new government in Parliament will be on November 13 next.
