Today, Thursday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed the continuation of work on the Al-Qurna Bridge and Shatt Al-Arab residential complex in Basra Governorate.
A statement by the General Secretariat stated, "The government projects team in the Government Coordination and Citizens Affairs Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers followed up on the stages of completion and progress of work on the Al-Qurna Bridge and Shatt Al-Arab residential complex projects in Basra Governorate." The statement confirmed, "The Al-Qurna Bridge and Shatt Al-Arab Residential Complex projects will continue, as the completion rate of the Al-Qurna Bridge reconstruction project, which is expected to be completed during the next year 2023, has reached 84%."
And he continued, "there are some technical contradictions related to the concrete tributaries that witnessed their collapse earlier, and the results of the examination will determine the possibility of completing them or not, as the real length of the Qurna Bridge, which is being implemented by a local company in favor of the Directorate of Roads and Bridges in the governorate (440 m), connects the two areas of Qurna to the city." .
He indicated, "The team was briefed on the progress schedule of the Shatt Al-Arab Residential Complex 2 project, whose implementation is supervised by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities / Governorate Housing for the Basra Martyrs Directorate in the outskirts of the governorate center," noting that "the complex is being built according to the construction method." horizontal".
