    Jordan announced that the volume of trade exchange with Iraq amounted to 471 million Jordanian dinars in the year 2021, expressing the achievement of industrial integration between the two countries, especially after the agreement to establish a joint industrial zone.
    The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi al-Jaghbir, said in a press statement, "Iraq is an important and essential economic partner for Jordan, due to the presence of large joint projects between the two sides, such as the joint industrial zone and the oil pipeline."
    He added, "The trade exchange between them reached 471 million Jordanian dinars last year
    (70 Jordanian dinars equals 100 dollars), indicating that Jordanian exports amounted to about 412 million Jordanian dinars, compared to 59 million Jordanian dinars for imports.
    He also pointed out that, "The establishment of the joint industrial zone on an area of ​​two thousand dunums is a positive and effective step towards strengthening economic relations between the two sides, as this zone will constitute an opportunity for Iraqi products and industries to benefit from the exemptions and advantages of free trade agreements between the two countries."
    Al-Jaghbir expressed his hope that "the current visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad al-Sudani, to the Kingdom will contribute to an increase in Jordanian exports to Iraq," noting that "the advantages of relative importance and the expertise available on both sides contribute to achieving industrial integration, especially after the agreement to establish the zone." joint industrial.
    Yesterday, Monday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, during his official visit to the capital, Amman, which dealt with a number of joint files, and ways to enhance mutual cooperation in accordance with the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries.
